Manchester Grammar School…
One of the really nice things I like about being a commercial photographer is the “access all areas pass” you get for behind the scenes of things you would not ordinarily be privy to…
Manchester Grammar School was one such commission, where I was fortunate to have a guide with me all day as I scoured the archives for original school hats and parts of the building that reserved for a visit from the Queen in 1965. As I walked around, it was impossible not to notice images of famous pupils that lined the corridors keeping a watchful eye on all of us!
The images created were forming part of their 500 years of academic excellence which they will celebrate in 2015. They requested some shots that could be used on both prospectus brochures, pull up banners and for website use – so the photographs needed to be a little multipurpose with areas for copy to be applied by the designer.
All in all what a great experience – I was even treated to their legendary steam sponge puddings – huzzah!
