From a client’s point of view, I totally understand that time is money and the last thing you want is the workforce taking time out for photography. However, we take images when people are completely involved in their job for total realism, we find that working around them keeps it authentic.
Other things to consider…
People working can not only add a human element, but immediately give a sense of scale. Great close up shots can also show the quality, capturing what the eye would ordinarily miss.
What you want…
Apart from great photographs, sometimes it’s useful to get some creative input if you are not sure. With a background in graphic design and arts and the experience of photographing industrial shots over the years, you start to get a feel for what works or what is realistically achievable on a shoot to keep within budgets and time constraints.
A great choice of images also makes your job easier. In general I usually shoot around 300 images plus, so plenty to choose from on the day.
When do you get the images…
I like to get my images over to the client as soon as possible, so usually they are delivered electronically to you direct within 24 hours in a small file format . Final chosen images then get taken through post production for colour correction, or blemish removal if required.
